Stiffeners will go on when the lift goes on, which goes on before any heavy bumpers or winch.
I'm planning on using switch and isolator (diode type) and using a deep cycle battery for the secondary.
An onboard welder would be for in a pinch field repairs, not long term fixes. I'm trying to limit the amount of stuff I carry around with me as space inside the jeep is at a premium. Also the welder is more a want then really part of the plan.

This is intentional as it helps drain water from the cowl in the case that you do encounter massive water intrusion. Otherwise it will flood your filter. I've had my THOR intake for about 3years before this deployment and it has been awesome. Yes, there was some whistling, but what do you expect when you relocate the intake of one GIANT air/fuel pump, so close to the cab. But, there is hope. I bought sheets of Dynomat, yes the stereo stuff, and lined the cavity of where the filter resides. This decreased the noise by almost 1/2. Now I can only hear it when I accelerate from a dead stop or downshift on the highway.
As for the "Water intrusion", well, you really shouldn't be submerging your cowl under water to begin with. Because if you do, your ECU will get water in it as well, causing major issues shortly after. You wouldn't use your phone, laptop or tablet standing in the rain would you? Same concept.
