Thinking about pulling carpet to underline coat
In my latest project og yanking the heater box to replace the heater core and evaporator core, I got to thinking about, pulling the carpet out and applying an underline or bed liner coating to the inside of the floor, just for future peace of mind against corrosion.
I also want to install frame stiffeners in the next couple weeks. Is there anything about welding in frame stiffeners that will heat up or distort the coating on the floor from the I side of the Jeep? I have welded in subframe connectors on a mustang before, and the heat transferred through the floor to an extent that it screwed up the carpet in a few spots. Just wondering if I should do the frame stiffeners first?
