Default Temp gauge kit?

I have dummy gauges. So I don't know I'm overheating until I have IN FACT over heatED. Apparently someone at Chrysler thought that the fuel gauge and the speedometer should be the two largest gauges in the cluster. So I was looking to see if there is a simple upgrade or kit that I could throw in so I can monitor my temp in this hot AZ weather.

The entire gauge cluster swap to non-dummy gauges is a very common upgrade in a case like yours. I don't have a link at the moment but there are a ton of threads/write ups out there on doing it.

You can get the 3 gauge kits pretty cheap and they have temp, oil pressure and volts.

Well I tried searching for it I just couldn't find anything. I was sure I heard about swapping the entire cluster before. Well if anyone can find a link or anything I would really appreciate that!!!!

I just put in an electrical temperature gauge today... It cost around $25, and took 30 minutes to install, taking my time to do it properly. I originally had bought a cheaper "gas(ether) temp gauge" which is mechanical, but the sensor did not fit in the hole where the dummy gauge sensor was. I bought the electrical gauge of the same brand and gauge size, which cost a bit more and it fit perfect. Just an option if you don't want to do the whole cluster swap.

Yeah I found a ton of write ups once I searched google sorry to be "THAT" forum user. I may as well ask anyways now, i found a gauge cluster from a '95 today (only 2wd if that matters). So you're saying I just need the cluster and to rob the oil and temp gauge from it and wham bam thank you ma'am?

Ok we'll just wanted to confirm what you said. Most write ups tell you to go to an auto parts store and get the oil pressure sending unit and the engine temp sending unit. In my case swapping my '93 dummy gauges for the '95 gauges and also swapping those two sending units from that same '95 was all I needed. The junkyard charged me $100 for all those parts. And now it's so nice to know that my engine is actually running a lot cooler than most ppl I hear from!!! (Around 200) i will obviously check this with a Laser thermometer for accuracy. Thanks for all the help guys!!! Nice to have a place to go for advice!!!!
