Default SYE shim question

I am about to install an IRO hack n tap SYE soon. I also have new 3.5 inch lift springs and new tires on the way. My question is, when can I measure for shims to go with the SYE? I would like to have the shims before I install the SYE, is this possible to find out before installing it? I assume my t-case drop will need removed before measuring. Anything else I should be taking into consideration before measuring?

I've installed 3 sye kits with no shims. You mean spring shims?

I don't have shims with mine either. 4.5 rc with a SYE. I put shims in my buddies XJ when I put his 3.5 on with no SYE. We just went to advanced auto parts and picked up a set. Pretty cheap and easy fix til he can fixes his t-case.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. Yes I meant spring shims.
