for length, just install your SYE with correct pinion angle, take a measurement and bring your tape measure to the JY with you
Sorry kinda new to this so if my questions annoy you feel free to not respond. I just got my springs and everything on. Def got some vibes goin. Got a tcasedrop but I'm not even gona bother with it. Onve I get rhe hd s ye and another fds how can I tell if my pinion angle is off and by how much? Is it like measuring with a protractor or somethin? And what is the desired angle?

You will probably need some degree shims to point the pinion of the rear axle at the output of the transfer case. Most people grab a set of 4* shims and called it good but there are specific measurements you can do.

I just do most things by eye its a jeep youre usually not going to hurt it if it's not perfect. you can get an angle finder at harbor freight for $10 or less. your pinion should be in a straight line with your driveshaft minus 2* or so. sorry I don't have a better answer for you lol
