wheres the best place and good brand to get a sye and the jeep is a 94 think i have a np231 corret if im wrong plz and think u need to the spline count how do i find this out thankz

To confirm that you have the np231, there is a tag stamped on the back of the t-case on the back of the front end side. Mine was made in Syracuse a little ways away from me :-) You can also use a front drive shaft to replace your rear.

SYEs are available from a lot of places and just like lifts everyone has a difference opinion of whats best. Iron rock offroad sells one, advance adapters makes one, rubicon express is supposedly coming back into business and makes on. just search around there are plenty available for the 231 and realistically they are all pretty much the same

well, ive yet to hear of a problem with a certain brand of SYE. More of the driveshaft that can be nicer. Tom Woods offers a nice shaft that some prefer, others are perfectly fine with a stock shaft.
