I'm looking to do a driveline upgrade. i'm looking to get a front XJ driveshaft and rebuild it. I was also looking at the Rusty's long travel yoke. Could that be another alternative for an SYE. let me know what you think about the Long Travel Yoke.
Thank you

huh... that's an interesting alternative. I wonder if it causes any additional stress on the transfer case shaft bearing? I freakin hate how Rusty's puts so little information about some of their products. Hell, give us a side by side shot or something. I mean look at all that space for a description...

If you get any information about the difference in lengths, please share.

I looked into this and a lot of people said a YJ yoke would work. Here is the thread. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/lon...el-yoke-11650/

I use the YJ yoke with an auto/d35 drive shaft for my manual/C8.25 and 7.25" lift with zero issues or vibes

i emailed them and they haven't got back to me but looking at what these guys said it wouldn't be a problem. The YJ yokes are longer and the same price.

$5 at the junk yard .... but yeah.

Every jeep is different though you have to remember. there is also an early corvette slip yoke which you can use to make a hack n tap. but it is a hard part to find.

If you put the YJ yoke on it will not bolt up to your Double cardon cv driveshaft that you take from the front of a xj. You need to get a yoke that has the 4 bolts holes to attach the double cardon with. Look at Iron rock offroads hack and tap kit. You can find a 27 spline yoke that is cheaper from other sources especially if you look hard. then just go to a JY and buy a front DS from an xj and new u joints and through them in. Good as new. Don't forget to grease them. I sell the whole refurbished kit for 100+ shipping includes taps, bits and instructions

PM if interested.
