Default Sway Bar question

Im not sure if this is modified but it definitely is not OEM. Been reading on sway bars, and i think i purchased mine a while back the wrong one. I thought it was a zj i was supposed to take it from. But im starting to think different.

You ask why now am i messing with this thing? Well ive come to the realization that driving on the hwy with the jeep i need certain things so i can drive a little calmer. Heres the info, 1988 jeep cherokee, manual, dana 30 and dana 35, 4 door.

As you can see in the picture, i cant bring the arm down without it hitting the springs. Or am i wrong and it needs higher disconnects so it connects with the bar like in the 2nd picture?

i can't remember off the top of my head, but on XJ's I dunno why I remember them having two mount points for the Sway Bar. I think you can bolt them up a inch to the front or back depending on the bolt holes. I could be thinking of something else.

Yes you definitely need longer links. Try some TJ ones if you are not doing discos.

By the looks of your coil spring you may have to adjust the control arms to even out the coil spring so you can install your sway bar end links...
Or you just need longer ones...

I think its a 6 inch lift? maybe... what do you think 88whitecomanche???

Dude, i feel like the Adj. control arms are already as back as possible but ill give it a try. Bring the jeep to my job so we can lift it and i see it changes... but what do you mean even out? just curious
