Sway bar drop bracket install problems
Hello all - i'm in the process of installing a rough country 3" lift. I got the coil springs, shocks, control arms and sway bar drop brackets installed up front, but cant get the sway bar to line up/reach the new drop brackets. The jeep is on 4 jack stands right now completely off the ground - what can i do to get the sway bar closer to the drop brackets? Should i drop the front and get the tires on the ground? I had to use ratchet straps to pull the axle forward to get the 2nd control arm to line up - could i do something similar with the sway bar? Its a 97 XJ. Please help :-/

That shouldn't be necessary...
Put it on the ground. You should be able to line it up with one hand, blindfolded, while holding a beer in the other hand.

Excellent. I'll get the front off the jack stands tonight - might skip the blindfolding part :-)
Thanks a lot for the input - this is my first lift install, so i wanted to go with something affordable (rough country) - found a video on youtube showing the total install in under 30 min. I'm on day 7. Not as simple and straight forward as i would have expected - but this forum has gotten me past every hurdle so far. I'll post pics as soon as its done.
Thanks again!
