Yes disconnect both sides. Most guys will run a strap or bungie around it to hold them up!

Do you just disconnect it at the top or take the whole end link off? (Stock end link)

Do you have disconnectable sway bar links or no?
... Looks like you did say they are stock.. You need disconnectable links. JKS makes the quicker disco's that are pretty sweet, but about 150 for the pair. You can get good ones for around 100..

If you get disco's for the front, you can the scrap the rear sway bar entirely. You will get major gains in articulation and loss of body roll with both axles disco'd... It's sweet

I don’t have a rear sway bar; I haven’t since I lifted it. What’s the difference if I just use a wrench and take the end links off?

It's annoying, probably.. They are called quick discos, so I guess the idea is that it's just easier and faster... Hence JKS having the quickER disco.. You can reattach it on uneven ground and they are, from what I've heard, pretty slick.

Beyond that, those bolts aren't meant to be used like that.. They would probably strip eventually. And your links would probably end up in a tire...

A lot of guys run stock links & just unbolt them, but its a pain! BTW it won't puncture the sidewalk.

that is what I did, but I used the rear link and cut and weld the front and rear link together to get the length I needed

When i got my lift kit i had the reg. swaybar links (no quick discos) but I made my own. I recived a U shaped bracket that connects the top of the link to the swaybar by a bolt goin through the top. So i just welded the bolt to the U shaped bracket and put it all together. so all ya gotta do is unscrew 1 bolt on both sides.
