Short of it all

I have an OME 1.5" lift with light duty springs which was great.........before i put on my Smittybilt rear bumper/tire carrier. now its a little saggy, and mushy. I could install lift shackles but i dont think that would address the mushy issue.

Only option i see is to just buy the heavy duty OME springs, I would hope that would fix it, but if not, what would you guys suggest?

I wouldn't be opposed to a new lift, but nothing taller than 2.5" and something that rides smooth, comparable to OME. If you guys have any suggestions I'm all ears.

Thanks,
MUD

JMHO but I would go for a 3" lift another 1/2" isn't that noticeable at all. For and entry level kit the leafs and coils are the most costly items in the kit and the most important ones to consider. They will decide the ride and how long they last before they start to sag.

All but a very few company's leafs/coils are made off shore one company that has an entry level kit for a 3" lift is Rustys Off Road. His leafs have held up my swing out bumper with 33x12:50x15" spare and Hi-Lift jack with zero sag now for over 2 yrs.. His kit also offers as standard 2 choices for coil springs one for a front winch and bumper and one without (I have the HD 180# ones for the winch setup). My XJ rides well from the start it was OK but much better after I upgraded shocks, all the ones that come with kits aren't that great.

Think im just going to order the add a leaf from OME to add to my current OME leafs, it will make it the "medium" duty springs that are out now. that should be all i need.

I'm sure you will enjoy an AAL.

Is that sarcasm? I figured it would be OK to buy the AAL from a brand i already own? or does that not make sense?

Makes perfect sense since it is designed for their pack. A generic AAL is just that and wont match the spring rate etc.
