Has anyone got one on their xj? How do you do you like it? The speed seems to be one of the fastest fot the money. Im going to be making a bumper and want to order a winch soon.

I would say rough country's is the best deal with a 5% discount with forum code. This is the one I just ordered, haven't used it yet but the most pulling power for the money and It comes with a wireless remote. Other winches in this price range do not.

One thing ive seen people complain about was such and such winch being to slow
Im looking for input on the winch i asked about, i know there are plenty of other brands.
Pimping your own products makes me not want to look at those, i know you gotta make money but at least let someone recomend them first.

If a fast winch is all your looking for then that's your own preference. you just stated that that looked like your best option for the money and and I gave you one. also by looking at the gear ratio listed for the 8000lb summit winch it looks to be the same speed as the rough country, also It has a bigger motor that puts out a extra 1.5hp and can pull a extra 1500lbs. and its cheaper and comes with a wireless remote on top of the reqular wired. So in every way around it looks to be the best bang for your buck. They have a very good warranty also. unlike serious off road, I dont sell this winch, I am just another consumer that was just looking for a winch like you about 2 weeks ago and after all of my research, RC's was the choice for me.

i have a summit 12500 i have it about 3.5 years now and i love it . i have pulled out some things like a f 350 , my skid loader up a hill also 14 pine trees in my yard and had no real trouble with it the only thing that has gave me any trouble was tha control cord . i have also done lot of smaller trucks i used to use a 650 amp . batt. i now have a 1000 amp. it seems to be lot faster with the new batt. the summit i have is made by tmax
