Default Strut for EMT roof rack

Ok so I see that a lot of people use EMT pipe for making roof racks. They typically look good, too. I have a question, though. Has anybody mounted strut (aka "kindorf" or "unistrut") to the roof for mounting their pipe roof rack? As an electrician, that thought just came to me a little while ago. Mounting 7/8" strut to the roof would make putting a conduit roof rack on so much easier. You could just use strut straps to anchor the pipe to the strut.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone had mounted strut to their roof for these reasons.

Hope that helps. As a union electrician, I use it for mounting pipe and other things to walls, ceilings, floors, basically anything. There's a slew of ways to support/ mount conduit to strut, the easiest of which is the strut strap. Mounting a rack on strut would make it easily removable also.

It does but a lot of em are designed to hold it there not hold it there doing 50 MPH. Thats the problem i had with my conduit flag pole design. I guess it wouldnt be as bad on the roof and im sure there are better ways than what i did but i think its hard to keep it tight on there
