I'm not that far along. I sourced the following:

Crank Cast# 3727 87-90 short nose
Rods Cast # 707 71-87
Block Cast # 53020569 96 NVH (Still have yet to pull the engine)
It does for some reason have the the 91-95 7120 Cylinder head with the temp sensor in the rear.

Once I get the block to the machine shop I'll order the pistons after he's had a chance to inspect. After it's bored we'll do a trial assembly to measure deck height and then mill accordingly.

Here's the build I'm working to and hope to run regular unleaded at least during the winter months.

When you are measuring the stroke are you going from the top of the shiny part of the cylinder wall to the bottom of the shiny? Assuming you are measuring off the cylinder wall... if so, I think you are missing one important measurement.

Ignore the first question if the answer to this is yes. Did you run the casting number on the piston to see what application its for?
Here are the numbers: H802CP .030 298-02-11-A . They are Sealed power brand and from what it looks like the proper application for this 97. Would this be right? that it is indeed just barely under 4" shiny to shiny? Do they use OEM sized pistons in stroked applications?

Know what? I goofed in my perspective here. I am not taking into account the difference in between the top and bottom ring wear when measuring it like this. lol It's standard stroke...

That is exactly what I was getting at haha... Glad you got it figured out.

Thanks for the info! I am torn between doing a stroker or a blower. If I do a stroker, its going to need a minimum of 91 octane. Good to see how that cam affects the dcr. That means I would be able to go a little higher on scr and still be good.

Lol, I don't know what I was thinking, but the curiosity about whether it was stroked or not had been nagging at me since I realized they were aftermarket, and when I saw 3.9" measurement I got excited.

Mopar -29 cam, I would go with more cam like Comp 232.
