Maybe someone can help with this problem. Ive noticed a ticking/ clunking sound while driving. It happens at low speeds in forward and reverse and can only hear it inside the cab. I actually had someone drive over me to see if i could hear where it was coming from and heard nothing. Seems to be right at the trans shifter. Its not coming from the engine bay but speeds up with the vehicle. Checked all the driveshafts front had a little play and the back was tight. Jeep has 6" lift, locked front and back, driveshaft angle seems a little steep but ive put alot of miles on it and never had this problem. Any help is appreciated.....

 

Sounds like a ujoint to mean esp if it had play. if you have any play at all there is failure somewhere.
