you dont have to remove the door trim to line your XJ. i think XJs look much better with the trim. removing it makes the XJ look generic in a way to me. to each their own though.

i lined mine, but also lined the trim, bumpers, and bumper caps. oh and part of the flares to keep a uniform look. however i am considering trimming lower parts of the flares off completely.

here is what mine looks like. i used Raptor liner.

 

Did you take the trim off, roll on the lining, then put it back on? Or did you just tape it off while it was still on?
