Stock flair relocation
Im starting to notice now that my lift has some miles on it that i rub in the wheel wells a little more and instead of just trimming the fenders and wheel well i would like to trim and relocate the stock flair on my 01. wanted to find commache rear flairs but only ones i can find are 200 bucks with brackets. so im trying to find out what i have to do to relocate the stock flairs. do you use the stock brackets trimmed to fit or some other way to hold the flair?

I used stock brackets. Pulled brackets/flares off, snapped brackets on flares put flares on front so top of flare was right at body line in front and took marker and traced around flare studs and wiggled flare so studs left scratch were I was to drill. Then cut off to were bottom of bracket would be. Rear I did same but cut in fold inbetween spot welds and lined flare up si it just barley cleared rear door. Gave me an 1"1/4 in rear and 2" more room up front

Make sure to not drill into washer reservoir on drivers side. I new to watch for it and as soon as drill made it through fender it jumped right into it. Front fender liner should be removed too. Use expanding foam to keep your front door hinges mud free too. Bottom of front flair I trimmed to fit it flushish and drilled and screwed bottom on. They pop off once in awhile if put up against a tree but hold up well. If yoy spend time bending brackets to pinch flair tighter they will stay on longer. Here is a before and after

Here is best pic I have of where I trimmed rear bottom of front flairs
Here is how I mounted rear close to door and about a half inch higher but got more clearance from cut n fold you can't see in pic.

It took awhile to get first side then went real quick on second side. The rear looks almost stock except for small gap at rear where bumper guard is. I had a 2" lift with 31s and this fixed rubbing at full stuff. Ill try to post some more pics later on front/rear.

thanks i figured the stock bracket was still used just wanted to have an idea beofre i start butchering something im not suppose to. i was planning to trim the flair itself also so the flairs sit just above the middle body line since i already tore off the side moldings. seen a few done this way they look great and it is just my price. . .free lol

If you're going for cheap, yeah, Notch Customs may not be the way to go. But let me at least clarify, Notch Customs is NOT the same company as Iceland Offroad. They did acquire the molds, but are totally different people, and are using better quality material, and are also modifying the molds for better fit, etc.
In other words, if money's holding you back, I get it. But if fear of losing your money--like lots of people did with Iceland--is your worry... no need. Notch is running things right!
