Stock 2001 4.0, Mopar Performance Cam?
So I've been doing a lot of research and I'm having trouble coming to a decision. I'm currently rebuilding my 2001 4.0. I was originally going to go with all stock replacement parts as I am shooting for reliability, driveability and mpg. Now I am debating about putting a mild cam in it, since I am replacing the cam anyways, this seems like a logical choice to add a little more power for no additional cost. So far, the Mopar performance 228 cam is my choice, it advertises .430/.430 lift, just a tad over the stock .408/.414.
However, all these manufacturers specifying that their cams are not "computer controlled compatible" or fuel injected compatible makes me second guess it. Especially in a coil pack motor. I've heard of 99 and down owners modifying their distributors to correct timing for aftermarket cams which obviously I can't.
So, does anyone have any experience in running a mild cam on an all stock 00-01 motor that can give me some feedback on what you like and don't like about it?

I have a 4.6L Golen stroker in my 2000. I'm a little embarrassed to say I have no idea what cam Golen put in it, but it's definitely not stock. The computer has no trouble handling not only the more aggressive cam, but also the larger chambers, higher compression and 24 lb. injectors. It ought to be able to find its way around a mild cam by itself.
