I need to replace the steering box in my 2000 xj. Is it pretty straight forward, or are there some tricks I should be aware of? Do I have to pull the Steering Column out a bit, or can I just drop the steering box out the bottom? Also would a Grand Cherokee steering box bolt right in?

How do I get the steering shaft out of the Steering box? I'v searched everywhere..

 

Have you looked? There should be a bolt that you can loosen, just pull it out
