Default Steering box brace question

For those of you who have a steering box brace between the box and the unibody and then one on the outside of the unibody, do you keep the brace that is in the way? I have a c-rok kid and the hole for this brace gets covered up so do I leave it unbolted or remove it?

I just unbolted mine and left it there. I know some folks drilled another hole in the brace and bolted it back up, but to me seems like alot of trouble with no real benefit.
