Steering..
I have a lot of slop in my steering. I have an AGR steering gear box, an Iron Rock Off road OTK steering linkage, extended pitman arm, all oh which are tight! I have replaced my steering shaft from the steering wheel to the gear box and I have 32's. Anyone have an idea why I have so much slop.
Also, when I upgraded my gear box to heavy duty, I didn't touch my pump, could this be the reason why I have slop?

Sounds like the steering linkage is rolling on itself. Have someone turn the wheel while you are looking at the steering. If it is rolling it will be fairly noticeable where the drag link meets the tie rod.

I had a lot of slop in mine like 30 degrees XD. i thought it was the drag link (i tightened the nut on the tre). But if you hear it clunking when you turn your wheel its in the box. you can fix it by turning the set screw on top of your steering box until it gets tight, unless of course you box is bad (or badly worn)its possibly just out of adjustment. I did this today and it took almost all of it out. Took 10 minutes. hope this helps!

Over at Naxja, there have been a handful of cases where AGR boxes failed. PSC seems to be the way to go.
COntact them, tell them there is something wrong and you want your money back.

Psc is definitely NOT the best box for the $. They are way overpriced and half the time come with slop in them.
Check out lares corp "crawler box". It's a 4 bolt box with a larger piston (similar to the Dakota box but without the steering radious loss) $200 + $100 core from rock auto. It's designed for a yj wrangler (4bolt) but will work for an xj as well
