just wanted to get some opinions on whether to get over the knuckle 1 ton steering upgrade or just 1 ton upgrade under the knuckle and im running a 3inch kit now so i don;t know if the geometry would be better over or under

You do not need to go over the knuckle at 3" of lift, UTK is a better choice.
OTK will require a larger investment and the benefits just aren't there at your current ride height to justify the cost.
