Installed a new alt, battery, and got my starter tested good..
Put everything in and my starter doesn't engage it just clicks. So we jump the starter and it works. But after starting the Jeep by jumping it the starter won't disengage.
Turn the key off, take the key out, and my jeep is still trying to turn over until I unhook the battery.
We arc the starter again ignition on and start the Jeep one more time still won't disengage this time I unhook both sides of the batter and my jeep stays running until I shut the ignition off... Anyone know what the you going on...

What was reason this was all done at first? Year, Motor info.....

Did it because my alt went out and I had a crack in my battery.
But now after doing some process of elimination when the remote wire is unhooked from the starter and I begin to hook up the battery it cranks.
I have another starter I will try

The small wire that the ignition switch tells the starter what to do

Remove small wire on starter hook up battery. If its still trying to start change starter if not somethings feeding power to small wire that shouldn't be .

Smack starter with hammer solenoids stuck.

Did that it didn't break free. So I'm going to put in a dif starter and see what happens
