Anyone have a simple way to move rear plate into the center of your swing out tire carrier?
Looking for simple and cheap ideas

 

Zip ties

 

Hit the junkyard find one off a random car that will work and add some lights to it.Or just screw it to the tire carrier and get a cheap set of license plate bolt lights from auto zone.

local PoPo where my mom lives pulled me over because my plate was partially covered.
Trying to 'bend' something and yet have my plate secure enough that no one finds it worth stealing

 

2 years my plates still on rear hatch behind tire never been hassled about it and been stopped for a headlight out also.

I went to Lowe's and got a 1/8"x 3/4" piece of flat stock and heated the places where bends needed to be put in and bent it in a vice with a BFH. I doubled up on the flat stock where the 2 bends were made and welded 2 pieces together for strength and than put little bumpers on the screws so it would rattle around. Seemed to do the trick. Than I ordered a light by Off Road Only from Quadratec and spliced into the existing license plate wiring in the hatch and done
