Default Somebody please be smarter than me

So this is round two of my lift troubles. Put a 2 inch lift (only in the rear, don't have money for the front...yet) and ended up with a weird grinding sound sometimes. Mainly at the very beginning of the throttle (stepping on and letting off) but also at other random times. I just removed my drive shaft and checked my u joints, they are moving freely. I changed the transfer case fluid and checked the rear differential fluid, which was fine. I see no evidence of binding at the tcase or diff end of the drive shaft. I'm thinking maybe my driveshaft could be bent and causing some problems (I did play a little rough with her after I got the back lift finished)?? I hesitate to go the SYE route before I know for sure that is the problem because it is so expensive and in my opinion that's not the problem. There are also no vibrations, at least none that I can detect, only a grinding noise. It seems very bad when going up hill too. Any opinions?

Oh, I also let out the parking brake cable a little bit to make sure that wasn't the problem (at somebody else's suggestion)

Just got OME CS035RA leaf springs and shocks to match. It happens at all speeds, but less often when I'm moving very slowly. However, it has happened stepping on/off throttle everywhere from 10 mph to 45.

Rear driveshaft u joints. maybe the extra pinion angle set of the already bad u joints.

How exactly could I tell if it were the pinion bearing?
