Default Some Backspacing Questions

Hey guys Im going to look at a set of 15x10 DC1 rims for my Jeep on Monday. Im going to but a 3' lift on my jeep and 33x12.50 tires on it. But how much backspacing is needed to run 12.50' tires on a mainly stock jeep? And how do I measure the backspacing on a rim? The guy selling them does not know how much backspacing is on the rim, so I'm going to have to measure it myself.

12 inch is pretty wide for a 12.5 tire. not ideal, but will work.

to measure backspace, you lay a flat edge across the back of the rim, then measure from the lip to the wheel mounting surface.

you want around 3.75 range. and you'll have to do some fender cutting to fit 33's on a 3 inch lift.

and maybe some adjustable lower control arms to keep the front wheel in the center of the wheel well, otherwise you'll rub on the fender when you flex/turn.

The rim are 15x10 not 15x12 .... the tires are 33x12.5. Im also aware of the fender cutting and have been looking at the tutorials for them. I think im buying the RC 3' lift with LCA and full springs

sorry, that's what i meant. 10 is still pretty wide for a 12.5 tire. that tire requires an 8 inch rim. but you can still get away with the 10.
