2x6 isn't that tall... there's normally just less than 2" of rocker under the door anyway.

You driving this in the winter? You'll get pretty cold if you don't figure out *something* for a seal.

Ew... Yeah thats about how bad my inner rocker are hahaha. Mud pours in all the time, make the interior smell like a dank crack.

 

I'm not worried about seal yet, and I cut all the rocker off so I can't go 2 in below the door.. And it's not my DD any more lol

 

So I think I'm gonna get sheet metal and bend a 90 in it and use it to replace my inner rocker..

 

Sounds like a plan I know mine was kinda trial and error then when everything was cut out you get a better idea

 

Lol ya I'm gonna try getting a lot done this weekend got a 5 day weekend! Hopefully can start welding crap in! Lol

So.... Think I @@@@@@ my self lol what do I do about these humps against the inner rocker!? Cut em or cut my rocket?

 

What we did was cut the nut thing right off with the grinder. If that won't work smash it in with a BFH.

yeah weld thick to thin lol

concentrate on the on the thicker metal and pull the bead up to the thin stuff. When I did my 2x6 I welded 1/8 angle iron In there first and then slid the 2x6 in and welded that



it was a little different than yours I didn't go so high up on the rocker but I bet you could do something similar.

 

It's so hard lol it looks like bird /hit welds haha need to practice i was tacking it over n over lll
