Looks good! I did the same thing to both cherokees I've built. Works great! The Overland wheel is definitely a huge improvement.

I every day carry a Gen 4 Glock 19. Its very comfortable to carry inside the waistband, even when driving. BUT I mounted a thumb drive holster on the right side of the center console. It's much more accessible compared to my waist. And it's locked in there when on the trails. Here's some pics just in case anyone wanted to do something similar.

I can relate to the mirror issue. I didn't like the rear view mirror being in my line of sight, so I removed the button and cleaned up all the remaining glue.
I then re-glued the button up about 1.5 inches below the headliner.

Now the rearview mirror is not in my line of sight as in horizontal and I still retain the flipper for bright lights behind.

I have done this same thing on almost EVERY vehicle I have owned.

The current Ram 1500 tho, it's already out of the way.

Word of warning...when they replace your windshield, and you don't put the button on just right...DON'T JUST RIP IT OFF OUT OF ANGER !!!! or you will be buying another new windshield when the glue rips the inner layer of glass off with it.

Don't ask me how I know this.

How did you do that GC steering wheel? Any modding/fabbing required to install one. Do tell please, I very much dislike the factory steering wheel in my 01.

Was considering doing this. Appears to be a simple swap but you just have to watch what years you use for parts. Check this out:

Looks awesome, now I'll have to keep my eye out for an 01 Overland to harvest the steering wheel.

Kinda regret not going this route when I decided to put cruise control in my '00. Did not come with it. But not like I can't still do it. LOL.

tablet mod is simple except you need to have an amp. I have it bluetoothed to cheap converter with RCA outputs, that goes to a sound processor (optional) and then to the amps.

I have a hotspot on my cell phone so this is like having better than the latest nav systems that a new car would have + no limits on when I can enter addresses. I run spotify or podcasts. You can integrate an antenna with a usb dongle but I don't miss antenna radio in the slightest.
