Ok so ive decided to build my own 3 link. Ill be using 3/8 thick 2 inch DOM tubing for the lower arms and 1/4 thick 1 3/4 DOM for the upper, 6 currie johnny joints, and weld in inserts. I will bend the lowers for clearance since i mainly rock crawl and this will b my trail rig only very soon. Got some jks mini skids to help stiffen the axle mounts a bit cuz ive heard of those atually ripping off. And if the upper mount isnt strong enough ill cut it off and build a truss over the pumpkin and make my own control arm mount. The only part i havent figured out is how im mounting it to the frame. I know the easiest way is to buy some brackets (such as rock krawlers 3 link brackets) and bolt/weld them on and make my arms from there. But those get mounted to the bottom on the frame (i believe) and im going for high clearance here. Now im barely 18 and ive had my jeep for almost 2 years and fully built it myself. I work full time so i dont have to much time to work on this bad boy thats why i will b buying a car soon. Sooooo my fabbing skills arent excellent. I can build the arms easily and the truss and welding is not a problem at all. The vertical seperation, mounting locations, and clearance for everything so it doesnt contact anything at full stuff/droop are the things that are stopping me from starting this build. So are there any brackets from other companys that provide more clearance?

if you dont want the brackets on the bottom of the frame rails you can always build a crossmember like other long arm kits have and tuck it up flush with the frame rails and mount the lower arms on that.

You're going to have to build your own brackets, I'm not sure of any that get tucked above the frame rails.

Mainly because getting the correct geometry for the 3 link becomes difficult and requires clearenceing through the floorboard if you mount the lower link brackets high

IMO i went long arm only because of ride quality. I had a 3.5inch SA lift kit and it rode like stock. I went to 4.5" short arm and its did alright but i missed the smoothness of the 3.5" kit. I then decided to go 6.5" which brought up the SA drop bracket or LA. After a lot of debate i went with the LA only because of the smoother ride quality. I went with RC LA and the way the arms are bent i havent clipped anything yet. Only things that have scratched it are the lift mounts at Tire Pros haha. Just my ten cents
