Just completed my lift. 3.5" RE w full leafs. I gained 7"s on lift over the worn stock spring. And that was with the same tires. I'm now sitting about 8"s higher with the 31's.
Anyhow at the time I got some cheapo skyjacker shocks, they didnt have the better shocks in stock I wanted so I got a great deal on these. Well, they suck. And also are far to short. When I lift the jeep up its the shocks holding everything. front and rear spring still hae a bit of tension on them.
Before bolting up the shocks I had almost 3"s more travel before the vehicle was completely un sprung.
I'm looking for some good shocks, nothing crazy. I hear good things about the RE monotubes. What length shocks should I be getting. I wouldnt mind going a little longer just in case I throw some shackles and coil spacers on soon so that 33's will fit better.
Also I have the rear brake extention from the kit on. My front brake lines will be to short with any longer shocks. What length of them should I get?
thanks guys

Remove shocks and sway bar jack up one corner at a time and get measurement fully colapsed and fully extended from mounting points. Skip the pro comp deals on shocks. Im running bilstien 5100 on 6.5 lift and love them, better than sky jacker &pro comp's i ran in the past.
