Default Shock size?

I have a 96 Cherokee with 6.5 in lift and was wondering what size shock I should go with for maximum articulation? Ride comfort went out the window with the yokohama geolander mt/plus so thats not an issue, lol. This is the first set of shocks I will purchase (truck was already lifted). Thanks
Stephen

Default dont laugh im serious

I am running a napa shock that measures 16.5 compressed and if i remember right 35 inches at full extension. We just put a set on a buddies gc with a 4.5 lift and did the forklift test when we started we could only get the rear tire off the ground 19.5 inches with the shocks that came with the lift, then we put on the napa shocks and measured again we ended up at 32 inches before another tire lifted. The shocks are napa response the stage valving part number 94254 and at my store they were $26 a piece. You will have to build or buy bar pin eliminators, this is the third rig i have put these on and they all flex like crazy with good road manners. Hope this helps.

I have IROS 6.5" lift, and when i put it on, I had some skyjacker nitro 2000 or whatever for for their 6" lift so i put those on. Well those things were junk.. I just bought a set of Rough Countrys new 2.2 performance shocks for 221 shipped (with steering stabalizer) and it made a huge difference... much smooth ride, and alot less squeeking! I would recomend them

thats just to show the piston size, skyjackers on bottom, rough countrys on top.. larger piston is a much better ride. Just call them and then can hook you up with what you need size wise

I am at a 13" stroke. (with short arms )

Seems to work perfect. Measure your up travel. then get the longest shock you can get with that collapsed length.
