Shimmy at 40-50 MPH
Hello all, I have a 97 Jeep Cherokee with a 4.5" lift and 33x12.50's on her. She has been a great Jeep but she had some issues when I first bought her and I have been working on her every since I bought it. I have replaced the gears and put in 4:56, new shocks and new front end, I mean new front end, from ball joint and axle u joints, to tie rod ends, shocks and even drop down control arm brackets and new control arms. there is not one thing in the front that has not been replaced. Of course most of you can guess that I was chasing the dreaded Death wobble. Oh yeah I also have a Rusty's adjustable track bar. I just finished installing the new Rocky Road drop down control arm brackets and new fixed lower control arms this weekend and had the upper control arm busings replaced and the jeep aligned yesterday. The jeep rides great and smooth until you get to about 42-50 then you have a slight but very noticeable shimmy in the front end. I am not sure why and could use some help in tracking this down. It is obvious to me that I am finally getting somewhere with the DW but this shimmy is just frustrating now as I have a lot of time and money in my front end and feel that it shouldn't be acting like this anymore. HELP!!!!
