Shake in front wheels
I am looking to buy another Cherokee and one I found was a 1999 jeep Cherokee limited edition with a 6inch super lift. They say that it shakes whenever it goes over 55mph. Then they said that the the have the u joints for the front axle and that's the problem. Would that be the problem? I really don't want to waste the money and buy it and have to replace the whole front end or something expensive.

Sounds like a case of death wobble. Search death wobble on here and you will find ALOT of posts about it since it is a very common occurance with lifted XJ's. There are many things that can cause it and the U-joints probably can cause death wobble. Ask them if they had the Jeep aligned after installing the lift. I had the same problem after installing my lift and it took an alignment, new sway bar bushings, and tie rod ends to stop it.

Until you actually got.the ujoints on there and that fixed it I wouldn't assume that us the answer. A lot of tines one thing causes death wobble and then the wobble damages other parts. So while the joints might be the issue other parts may have worn out because of it and will continue to cause death wobble after the joints are fixed.

They havent been driving it, its been sitting in their driveway for about a month. they drive it every once in a while. they have only had it for about a year and it just started doing it and its a small wobble not a huge one
