No doubt, and with zero experience with these I would almost guarantee that provide a more "stable" feeling but with one pivot point, they'll surely bind sooner as the axle articulates and can't compete with a properly angled shackle on droop. There is a give and take for sure. That's why I think its a no brainer for jeep speed guys

Don't under estimate even simple UHMW; it's incredibly resilient stuff. Still though, I wonder if they have not heard of Nylatron NSM. I use it at my work as a bearing material on large agricultural boom structures and it still look new after a season of use. THAT is a terrible environment; trust me.

I have always wanted to try some slider boxes. However I went with the HD relocation brackets Because Shackles are tryed and true, which to me is worth every penny over a gamble. Even if the odds "look" good.

I have been very happy with them. I would never go back, They where WAY better then I had thought they could be. feels WAY more stable on road and off, flex is a ton better and they ride a lot better as well. All wins!

I prefer the liquid iron shackle relocators to the other design. They will be the ones I go with someday.

So I ended up getting a nice deal on a set of barely used 6.5 leafs for my 6.5 lift. I just put them in the stock shackle/mount, and you can imagine my ride quality is pretty bad. I don't really want to go down to a 4.5 pack with a 2'' shackle, since I feel I can fix this issue. Would I benefit more from the leaf sliders or a shackle relocation + decent length shackle? It's my DD, but I wheel hard when I go out.

Ive been researching these for about a month going back and forth between HD & LII.

I finally decided on HD because Ive read MORE positive reviews and basically NO ONE had anything negative to say.

Ordered them today so should have them by the weekend.

90 degree shackle angle and new RE leaf springs DONT MIX

My heep rides like my old 95 civic on cut springs

I to have been researching sliders in conjunction with the the full s10 leaf springs I'm running.

My XJ came from Utah and everything and the undercarriage is beyond rusty, I broke all the bolts removing the leaf springs. I modified everything to fit the longer s10 springs so a bolt in relocation bracket or bolt in slider won't work for me.

I've saved and examined every pic I can. The don't appear to be very difficult to fab, so I'm going to give the sliders a go.

I've head the on road manners are awesome, which is where she rolls 98% of the time. There is a massive thread on pirate with dude flexing the **** out of their rigs on sliders, so I don't think I will see any side effects offroad.

I was considering the leaf sliders, but am now going to go with the shackle relocation (probably RC, unless HD Offroad's is better) and I was wondering if there's a certain shackle I should get? Would a 1'' help my 6.5 leafs ride and flex better?

The longer the shackle typically makes a smoother and better ride/flex. compared to stock shackle length at least, but the shackle angle being at 45* will bring the biggest difference to flex/feel. I have seen both the HD's and RC's relocation brackets... both work and seam fine, but the HD's definitely have more beef

I love my setup with 4.5" RE springs, RE shackle, HD relocation brackets.
6.5" of lift, rides nice and flex's well for leafs.

But the real question is do you want to be sitting at 8.5" of lift?

92xjguy, do you notice anything in common in all the responses your getting to the 6.5 inch leaf pack question? just cut your losses and ditch the 6.5 pack. get yourself some 4.5 inch packs, extended shackle, and relocators. youll ride and flex much better than your 6.5 inch pack and extended shackle/relocators AND wont be at 8 inches of lift. dont take it in a mean way im just trying to help you out. everyones telling you the samethng

I have about a 1.5'' spacer or so on my front 6.5 coils right now, but with the weight of the bumper and winch, it's hard to tell. Would adding a lot of weight in the rear help with the 8.5 lift? Just add some sandbags? I wouldn't mind the additional weight with the winter coming either..

No I know. I just don't want to feel like I wasted $200 on the 6.5 leafs. Unlikely I'll be able to sell them (which wasn't a concern when I bought them), but I also don't know the exact size of my old leafs. The previous owner said they're S10s, but I don't think I was at 4-4.5'' of lift. People thought I was at like 3''. I know I asked it in my other thread, but maybe this will get more exposure. Could I remove a leaf or two? I wouldn't mind using the 6.5 leafs that have less than 2k miles on them, over the S10s that are heavily used. You know? And I know you're not being mean, just helpful.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help!

maybe try to contact rustys and ask if they recommend removing a spring or two? im guessing you might get some dumb response from them tho
