Default Shackle relocation brackets

I'm looking at shackle relocation brackets for my xj. I'm running stock shackles now. What would have a better ride quality, the relocation brackets which provide 1-1.5" of lift or 1.5" extended shackles

What's your shackle angle look like. Usually you only need relocation with taller leafs because they pull the shackles forward. I need em cause my angle is actually forward from center a little.

Well my xj is stock right now, have a 4.5 inch lift minus the shackles. Can't find time to install it. So I have rear lift springs and my stock springs are sagging. I'll take pictures tomorrow

you'd do well to get them. I'm at 4.5" and running extended shackles on a 3" leaf. the angle isn't terrible but you would enjoy the added droop with the relocators. Be sure your brake line can handle it.

It's on my list... my brake line is too short now. I'm gonna order a Dakota brake line off rock auto when I do the 8.8 swap.

I would say get the brackets because it will benefit your ride quality and offroad flexing abilities. Plus they're only a little more than a good set of shackles. Talk to Grimus in the for sale section to get a discount when you order through him.

Brackets hands down.

I have 3.5" leafs with 2" shackles and then swapped to 4.5" leafs, 1.5" shackles, and relocation brackets and its AMAZING! Such a smoother ride, back end feels a lot better, i cant express how satisified i am.

Rubicon Express RE1463 3.5" Leafs
Rough Country Shackles set to 1.5"
Rough Country Relocation Brackets

Hope that helps

Ok well thanks for everyones help. I recently got my leaf springs back from my families spring shop and I was told there not 4.5" rear lift springs :-( I'm sorta mad but I got a extra leaf added to the spring packs and had all the leafs bends matched. Hopefully when I install my 4.5" Rustys coils and my rear springs I'm close to where I wanna be.
I do not wanna run a block in rear, I was thinking coil spring spacer up front and brackets and shackles in the rear to make up the difference to get about 5-6" of lift. Hopefully its not a pita

I did 3" leafs (actually got 3.25" after they settled), 1.5" shackle (3" longer than stock) and home made shackle relocation boxes... final rear ride height was 4.75"

flexes great and I love it

I have the same set up, 3 inch AAL with a 1.5 inch shackle. My shackles lean forward a little. Do the relocation brackets add lift?

1-1.5" depending on current shackle angle and angle you chosse after install...

if its straight as you get it to 45* then it will lift 1 "

if you keep the same shackle angle it will lift it 1.5"

all slightly different pepending on springs, shackles ect...

Gorillaxj is 100% correct.

The hole farther forward gave me less then a 45 and raised my Jeep about an inch. The second hole back gave me the perfect 45 and raised my jeep about 1.5. The middle hole which kept my jeep at the same straight shackle angle raises it about 2 inches. Not sure what the last two holes would do though as I never tried them.

I would highly caution you against blocks. You can easily get 5 to 6 inches of lift without blocks.

Hell the relocation kit, springs, and stock shackled would almost get you that. Just do what I told you and you'll get 6 inches without having to use blocks.
