Setting HP30 pinion angle on Cherokee

Setting HP30 pinion angle on Cherokee

I know from adjusting my rear pinion angle, on my SYE (cherokee front shaft double card. shaft), I want the pinion 1-2 degrees down, to allow for acceloration.

My question is do i do the same thing when adjusting the FRONT pinion, or do I go opposite (I'm not sure which direction the front drive shaft spins) and point it UP?

adjust for 5 to 7 degrees of caster. where the pinion angle ends up is where it ends up.

Ktmracer419- I hate to say it but that might be wrong. Then consensus is pinion angle takes priority to caster. Thanks for the input though

IMHO, Caster takes priority if you drive on the street at all.

If your pinion is rotating that much during acceleration, you are in dire need of new bushings.
