Sorry I didn’t know what thread to put this in and I’m just kinda of in disbelief and denial at the moment yesterday night I lost control of my XJ driving down to the gas station and I crashed into the divider, I’m interested in parting it out, but would be more happy to sell it out fully, it runs and drives just fine the only thing is the body damage the interior is still absolutely mint, list of things I’ve done to it- Valve cover gasket, thermostat cover and gasket, oil pan and gasket trans mission fluid and filter change these and I just did oil changed plus filter at exactly 10 miles before the accident everything else listed I have done in the last 100 miles, I’m devastated and at a loss right now all the driveline components are still working and pristine it’s on a lift plus some centerlines I’d let go of the whole thing for 4500-5000 it’s also got a Bluetooth stereo and upgraded speakers and a new battery and terminals. If anyone is interested please feel free to PM and I can provide more photos

Texting? excessive speed? Horny girlfriend?
You don't just lose control and total your jeep on the way to get gas.

yeah kinda trying for that or hoping someone will buy it whole, it still runs and drives just fine which was insane to me but the whole drivers side door is crunched was planning on selling it after a couple more weeks but then I crashed it so it’s whatever I’ll take it at a loss and just continue on about my time

Your "brakes locked up" ..... Hmm... thats never happened to me in 45 year of driving.... not sure how that even happens.
Anyway.... "just got done with the rear main job"

no need to say sorry after being rude, I don’t need your opinion lol on my post just because it didn’t happen to you didn’t mean it didn’t happen to me yes my rear drum brakes locked up my jeep had been sitting in my garage for 2 weeks as I was doing the rear main seal and was having a horrid time trying to get the upper seal separated. My drums had never been serviced to my knowledge and stuck really bad whenever yhe Ebrake was applied there was no humidity in the garage and when I hit the road I was going to gas station after just completing all the final steps of the rear main seal. Putting oil in and changing the filter I was going 35 miles and hour down hill and lightly tapped my brakes as to where they both locked up. I wouldn’t risk speeding or being reckless in my rig that was my baby I have nothing anymore and am devastated after my crash so please if you feel the urge to keep commenting about how I’m spewing BS feel free.

The truth is, NOTHING you have said about ANYTHING makes any rational sense.
Even if you WERE going 35 mph and both REAR brakes locked up, It would not cause you to "lose control" and crash into the divider sustaining the damage shown in the photo.
Complete horse crap.

Calling me rude is a cute way of dealing with your feelings.

Im starting to think your wife has a boyfriend lol. Brakes locking up causes cars to spin out of control all of the time did you spend your 45 years driving sitting in the passenger seat? I crashed into the divider because my rig spun out of control you dumbass. Metal is meant to crumple away. You obviously have never worked on your own car and have never had car issues of any kind before. Hopefully you visit the doctor about the stick in your *** before it becomes infected.
You need to see the errors of your ways and improve your skills.
Anyone that "spins out of control" and wrecks their vehicle doing 35 MPH needs a driver safety course and a common sense evaluation.
But it's probably for the best..... You are not cut out to own a jeep.
you might need a self-driving EV.

Years ago I ended up going through a cattle fence down a large hill driving my fathers '90 limited. It wasn't until weeks later that I discovered he had no rear brakes and the second I touched the brakes on the icy road I was done for.
The point of this story is that **** happens and we have helmets, seat belts and other safety gear for a reason.
If you are parting, I could really use the lower trim plastic in the cargo area and front right or rear left luggage rack rail end cap

If this has never happened to you my friend in 45yrs of driving, it must be very dry where you come from
Whenever we get rain on the tar road, most especially after a dry spell, my non-ABS '96 is a handful , and will lock the rears and generally slide about, just like most older style similar SUV
The oil and rubber rise to the surface and make it difficult for everyone
If you have ABS its a completely different story, even AWD will help, but to crunch the PO with what you said is pretty harsh, in my opinion
I would assume the OP is saying his rear wheels locked on his presumably non-ABS equipped vehicle
