1998 Cherokee Sport 4.0 still leaking oil after freshly replaced rear main seal, transmission gasket, transfer case seal, and valve cover gasket. What's this one?

Did you do the oil pan gasket? On the reinstall, did you put RTV at the front corners where there's a seam between the block and the timing cover? Also a dab of RTV adjacent to the ends of the lower half of the RMS on the bearing cap is necessary. I always install things with gasket material hand-tight and let sit for a few hours before torquing them down, with a full 24 hr wait before I add fluids.

If these things are all OK, as Earl said, my money would be on the oil filter adapter.

I would clean the oil with soap and water, let the jeep run, and watch it to trace the oil leak, but it could be your valve cover also

Thanks all. I have not another degreasing and checking as I should. It looks to be coming from low and behind the oil filter unit. Oil pan gasket looks like a fitting culprit. Can someone advise on location of the oil sending unit?

Sending unit is right in front of where the oil filter screws on.

"low and behind the oil filter unit" If your meaning the area between the filter and the engine block that's where the oil filter adapter on mine is leaking and depositing oil.
