Is it possible to lower the seat in a stock Cherokee? I am about 6' or so and my head is about hitting the roof. Wondering if there is a way to drop the seat down an inch or so. Anyone ever done this?

 

im 6'5 and i feel your pain...my old xj was a limited and had power seats that adjusted up and down...if you could find a set of power seats at the junkyard and swap them in

 

im 6'2 and 325 lbs i cut my stock seat bracket removed 1'' of it and rewelded it then i drilled new holes 3'' back and re bolted it it is great i also drilled the spot welds for the door pilar moved it back and put a two door on the driver side and shortened the rear door 8.5 inches now its a fat guy approved 3.5 door

 

That sounds like some really custom fabrication! Any pics?
I don't need to do all of that but it sounds like a project and a half!

Do is it like an Extended cab xj with the stubby little back door?

 

What if you just want to move the driver's seat BACK a bit? Is it possible without serious modding?
