Default Rustys 3in Adv Lift Reviews

Hey guys,
I've just about got it narrowed down on my lift, right now I am between the zone and the Rustys 3 inch lift. I am doing the full leaf packs. I had read some previous reviews of the Rustys kit, but it seems like they majority of the reviews were from quite some time ago (2008-2010), and some of the newer reviews had better things to say. If anyone with the kit would like to chime in that would be great, along with any other necessary parts to grab when I order it. I was going to get the adjustable control arms also, but I am not sure I will need them. Thanks again, I appreciate it!

I have the Rusty's 3" advanced with adjustable "forged flex" U/LCAs and HD front springs. Happy with mine, though I load up my XJ for trips and found the leafs settled in quickly. Added Iron Rock Offroad adj boomerang shackles and have since installed Bilsteins in place of the Rusty's white body shocks. I also have Rusty's front sway bar QDs, which needed some mods to work correctly.

Overall happy with the quality and fit of the parts. Squishy and compliant when the road gets uneven.

I did a SYE at the time of lift install, though during a ph conversation Rusty himself said only a TC drop was necessary. Maybe he was right, but most will tell you the SYE is the correct way of doing things.

You may also consider installing BPEs front and rear while you're at it.

I am relatively new to lifts, but could you explain why you added the shackles? I was also going to go with the heavier duty front springs. My jeep is mainly a hunting rig, but I am planning on adding both front and rear bumpers. I also have a rack with the tire on top, which I am planning on relocating to either the back hatch (storage box set up) or the rear bumper in a swing out style. How long did the Rusty's shocks last you? Typically for my hunting gear, I have three rubber maid totes with clothes, my bow, and a lunch and smaller gear, then the deer get loaded on the hitch hauler. Thank you!

Rustys lift here going on 4 1/2 yrs. never an issue. Started with 3" full leaf/ coil (HD ones) now at 4 1/2" using the same base package.
