I have their steering upgrade and I like it... have hit it on quite a few stumps/rocks with no problem.

I USED TO have their interior roll bar... and it was not fun to get in.. but it did look good :P

I have a buddy that runs alot of their stuff and likes it (sliders/lift)

I have their 3" lift with full leafs, steering stabilizer, air tube and break line extension and I LOVE IT. The instructions sucked but I was able to adapt and over come. Good Luck!!

I see lots of posts againts Rusty's.

I've been using Rusty's for 11 years. I do beat my XJ's hard, and they've both been DD's.

I've had no shipping issues. I've gotten good tech help/info from them.
Zac, Rusty's son, warrenteed a broken leaf spring for me that was 14 months old. The 2nd Rusty's part I've broken. (I did jump it thru a mud hole with too long shocks and too short bumpstops, and broke the shock mount and bent the axle housing at the same time) Probably my fault the spring broke???

Rusty's parts I currently use:
Front receiver
steering box brace
HD tierod
fixed upper control arms
1.75" poly spacers
Ft shock bar pin eliminators
engine skid
cross member
tcase skid
Rock rails
roll bar
4.5" leaf springs
hd spring mounts, plates, & U bolts
U bolt D35 yolk
rear 2" lift shocks
Fuel tank skid
Rusty's decal on back window

Rusty's parts I no longer use:
1st Gen flares (the stiff ones) they break when cold
0.75" rear shackles (I use 1.5" boomerang type now)
Rear 4" lift shocks (too long for Zone shock mounts)
Rear Bar pin eliminators (too lazy to install)
Lots of Rusty's decals (freebies)

I've also gotten free t-shirts with orders over $100 (you have to ask)

I'm running there 4.5 full lift with leafs and there steering upgrades to go with it. I still can't believe where I can go with it. I run it hard to. It's my trail rig and I flex like crazy. Check my build thread. Hope this helps

I have had a 4.5 inch lift for nearly 5 years with no problems. I have had their adjustable track bar and HD mount (189$) for three years.

Last monday I was coming off the free way and felt my steering was alittle loose and sloppy. Getting to the exit i got up to 25 and figured i was safe and hit a small bump in the road and lost control and slid over on the sidewalk. Pulled over and the track bar broke at their weld. Imagine if it completely broke on the free way minutes before it actually broke...

Very lucky nothing happened to myself or anyone else on the road.

^ That is pretty major and enough to cost human lives... especially at 65mph on the highway where people are driving with their children in their cars.

I currently run a number of Rusty's products as well. 4.5" lift w spring pack, steering conversion, HD track bar.
As for lifts. I think its one of the better ones out of all mass market kits.
I'm not the biggest fan of the steering conversion. The lower track bar bolt rubs against the tie rod. Which has forced a small dent on the backside of the tie rod.
I personally haven't had any product failures.
I have had operator error with my XJ. But that's all me.
The shocks included in their lift suck! I'd say save and get the Bilstein shocks. Best for the money no question.
If your upgrading steering. Check out
Seriousoffroadproducts.com. He's a forum member by the name FrankZ.
And this book is a great read. It'll inflict some critical thinking and help you sort out your plan for your XJ (if you haven't already).
