Default Rust fix? :c

So I was adjusting stuff on my roof rack and have taken notice like 10 super small rust spots are forming and test the top of my trunk there's quite a nice amount along the edge? What do I do? Any quick fixes? I don't mind it not being super pretty since no one will see it.

Okay didn't think about that. Can't till later tho. They're just super small circles of rusting starting to break through the paint.

Just finished doing roof on my XJ, here's what I did.
1. Use a screwdriver to check the large spots, gently probe the spot to determine the extent of the rust/depth. I lucked out none of the bad spots were very deep. No need to cut out metal and replace.
2. Used a rust removal wheel on my drill to take the spots down to bare metal. Used my dremal to get the last bits of rust off. Removed all dust etc. Taped off areas where there would be overspray.
3. Primed spots with rust check primer. Applied 2 coats.
4. Applied 2 coats of brush/roller Duplicolor bed armour. Make sure you follow the directions for prepping or it will not stick properly. I will put another coat on this spring when it warms up.
Couple pics below (not very good pics, frigging garage is so dark.
Took me a couple days to do and about $150.00.
