Default Running wires for hella 500's from engine bay into cab?

Hi all,

I've been looking on the forum for days now, as well as the internet, and could just not find anything to help me out with this.

So recently I purchased a pair of hella 500 FF's. I've got them mounted and ready for wiring, but I just cant seem to figure out how to run the wires for the switch from the engine bay into the cab. My goal is to have these wires run out to my dashboard right by my steering wheel so I can mount the switch there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm 16 and this is my first wire-involving project lol

Happy 4th of July,
George

You should have a rubber grommet on the firewall for the things such as the accelerator cable.. you could slip them through there. A small piece of wire hanger with light wiring taped can easily help push through.

Thanks!

I think I know the exact one your talking about. I was feeling around it with my fingers tonight and found it was solid rubber, so your right some thin wire would be perfect to pull the others through. I just need to pull in two, and the third is a little short grounding wire.

I would switch the wiring that comes with the hella kit to at least 14 gauge wire. I believe they supply 16 or 18 gauge which can't handle the load and heats up pretty good.

use a relay... then you only need to run one wire into the cab... the other end of the switch will connect to ground...
