If you spend $100 more you can get the series 2 kit that comes with control arms and a sway bar drop kit. After the lift you may get some driveline vibrations that will need to be adressed. I'd get the series 2 with full leaf packs, not add a leaf, thats $600+ tho, maybe out of your range.

Sent from my htc evo on the Cherokee Forum app. I haz the technologiez

i got the rc 3" with aal...cheap for a college kid...get bumpstops if u use it without swaybars with 31's or u will crush the stock fenders and quarter panels as i did when flexing out...remember, more leafs with less arch means more flex too

AAL will be fine as long as your rear leafs are in good shape to begin with... the AAL is ONLY as good as the spring you add them to...

...I got the series II RC 3" and WISH I would have went 4 1/2". At 3" you are very limited. If you want to go another inch you basically have to start over and replace everything. Budget is a big factor though! Just my. 02. Good luck!

not true at all... you are kinda short a couple pennies if you ask me

front you shim the arms or get new ones... add a 1.5" spacer to the coil (or get a new 4.5" coil for only $130)

for the rear you just add a shackle for only $35 (Superior Automotive part number 13-4100, available at most auto parts stores...)

Agree 100%. I went with a 3" lift at first.. Now I got spacers ordered to boost it some more. 4.5" lift is perfect.

But if you wanna stay with 3" lift, the series 2 RC works fine.Even if you have to save a little bit longer, wait it out to buy the series 2. My AAL sagged about .5" over the past year, and i tow with it all winter.. So not too bad imo

4 1/2 with shimmed CA's ...bet that rides nice or buying new ones and coiles can be as much as 300 plus shackles.. IMO 4 1/2" + IDEALLY needs to be long arms anyway..just depends on the intentions of the jeep

I agree I started with the 3 inch lift and already feel like I should have gone bigger. But I also got a transfer case drop and shims for the leaf springs because I was getting some vibes.

I feel like if I would have went to 4.5 I would have had to get an sye but it seems like everyones xj is different, some need them at 4.5 and some dont. Also at 4.5 or over it is a good idea to start replacing the lower control arms if that height is what you plan to stay with.

if you are familiar with wheeling the go with a bigger lift if not then start out with a smaller lift to learn your limits that way it wont get you into trouble latter on
