running with a cracked collector.?
is it that big of a deal? will it effect anything in a big way? i know it messes with the o2 sensor reading but what does it really do? should i buy an exhaust manifold as soon as i can? or can i wait a while? what'll eventually happen if i keep running with the cracked collector?

Lol, and you don't plan to fix it or does it not do enough damage to anything to even car about it? I was going to buy an exhaust manifold with flex piping on it but I said forget about it. ima run it til it either gets worse or something idk

I am about to put my new header on today actually... Mine runs like crap with the collector broken and sound like an old shi**y tractor.

a small crack won't harm anything, just be annoying.
i ran with a crack like this for about a week
No harm was done, no codes, but the internets said I could potentially burn a valve running like this for a long time.

I ran mine cracked for nearly a year. It wasn't ideal but funds were nonexistent. Not proud of it though. Just a week ago a new header got put on and holybegesus the difference was incredible. Low end is back and fuel economy has improved.
It was cracked like this all the way around in two places. That silver stuff I smeared on to slow the leak some. I never detected mechanical harm from running it while it was cracked.

Yeah it might just be paranoid but it seems my mpg has gone down. Ima buy a manifold ina few days. would motor mounts make that much of a difference so it won't happen again??

With the manifolds that have the flex piping at the ends,, do they usually have a tendency to crack at the flex? What should I do to make sure it doesn't crack cause that's what the flex pipe is for but it obviously got cracked in the picture above.?? I want to buy an exhaust manifold with the flex pipes at each end but not if it's still going to crack
