Default Rugged Ridge TREs why did I waste my money..

After about 3 months of having the Rugged Ridge tie "HD" rods and TREs installed,
All of the TRE boots are ripped in half.
I cant believe how crap the quality is of these TREs.

My question is, the tie rods are thick tubing and internally threaded.
Could I use this inverted Tsetup with a possibly OTK style tie rods?
I can get dimensions if needed

Just looking for the most cost efficient solution. I would like to upgrade to OTK but if I need to tap my knuckles forget about it.
I love wheeling but this jeep literally has drained my bank account and its close to being sold and thats not just an angry mechanic mumble ha

You have to drill your knuckles for OTK. Just buy some quality TRE's.

Or just but new boots. The boots do not affect the tre's. All they are there for is to keep grease in and **** out. New boots cost about 10-15 bucks.

No other tie rod ends will work with the RR tie rods, they use a weird metric thread. You can get one ton tie rod ends and drill and taper your knuckles. Places like complete offroad, JCR and such sell them with the combo tie rod end, like the passenger side one in the RR kit and you tell them if you want it over or under the knuckle. They are actually Chevy ends and will thread into a stock Chevy tie rod.
The RR boots wear out quickly because of the roll steer this kit has so they get a lot of movement. Get a plastic puck from JCR and it gets rid of the roll steer and the boots will last much longer.
