Default Ruff Stuff 'Y' Link Steering and 3/8" Diff Cover?

I have the Ruff Stuff 'Y' Link Steering with 1 ton GM TREs sitting on the garage floor waiting for me to install it on my 90 XJ. I will be installing it under the knuckle to keep install simple.

They are having a 20% off sale for Dan's birthday, and I would like to pick up one of their 3/8" thick diff covers for the Dana 30. Does anyone have experience with this setup? I am concerned about clearance. I don't really NEED a heavy duty diff cover, but I want it. If it will cause clearance issues with the steering, I don't really want the extra work to fix the issue.

in my opinion, it will hit. i ran the same setup, but with over the knuckle steering. it was dang close to hitting, but because i had that extra clearance from the tie rod being raised up, it didnt hit. i also had my steering stops adjusted out.

I think I will forgo the diff cover for now. I'll see what clearance I have after I get the steering in and take it from there. I don't want to do the extra work to go OTK. I don't really need the thick diff cover either, I don't mess with rocks too much.
