Default rubicon dana 44 in an xj

hey guys, what would be involved in trying to get a 2004 rubicon dana 44 front axle under a cherokee? new brackets wouldnt be a big deal, but what about everything else?

Be sure its the correct gear ratio and bolt her up. No need for new brackets, TJs have the same front suspension as XJs

why are you wanting to go to a rubi 44? iv learned the hard way that a dana 30 isnt much weaker than a 44 since they use the same u joints and iirc the rubi dana 44 doesnt even have unlocking hubs. just curious on your motive?

Direct bolt in.

You will need a small compressor in order to run the front locker though

thanks for the quick replies. i was thinking the tj had the same suspesion up front but im still new to jeeps. my motive is it has 4.10 gears and a locker and i can get an exploder rear 8.8 with 4.10's and a locker fairly cheap also. plus it saves me having to fix the inner axle seals on my d30 then re gear/ add lockers.
