Rough ride options
I bought the rc 4.5 x flex sa kit. It rides like crap. I usually ride with no sway bars connected just to help soften the ride. I'm going to upgrade the front arms to iro la setup when I can afford it. But I want a little better ride. Should I change the shocks or the springs? I know it should probably be both for the best change, but I can't really afford that right now. Any suggestions would be great! Also my shackle angle is almost 90 degrees which isn't helping either, I just haven't ordered longer ones to correct it because I can't afford a sye kit right now either.

What pressure do you run your tires at? You might try running them 5 psi lower. It is free to try, and it might fix or lessen the ride harshness. Also, for $120 a shackle relocation kit helps soften the ride in the rear of the jeep. I just put on http://www.hdoffroadengineering.com/...relocation-kit this kit and I am really happy with it!

That's called a rough country lift, key word rough. Springs would help and a longer shackle will lean more forward and make it worse. Their leaves are a bit short, lots of threads on that, relo brackets are your only fix for their leaves, sorry.

It's rough yeah... i have the same kit. I like it though, makes me feel all rugged when I drive the jeep. Of course, if this was my DD I probably wouldn't like it either, but that's what my lexus is for

It's mostly the shocks.
I would also lower the tire pressure, especially if the middle of the tires are wearing faster than the edges.
Or you could add about 2-300 lbs of metal in the form of bumpers, sliders, etc to the jeep. That softens it up so it almost rides like a real car.

Also replace those bushings and joints in the UCA's and LCA's with some curries. Ever hear that popping noise when you back up-hit your brakes-back up-hit you brakes? For some ungodly reason, rough country hasn't been able to get their bushing to preload properly an there is too much play in the Johnny joint, replacing those will also help

I'm a fan of Bilsteins.. I have them on my Diesel and both of the Jeeps. Just stay away from the 5150's, they have a tendency to snap.
