Rough country lift
how long does it take to install the 3" rough country lift?
(without the added control arm)
it says 3-4 hours but that doesn't seem right...
if anybody has installed this lift before what are some of the common problems you would run into when installing this lift?

Get some good penetration oil like Kano Kroil oil. That stuff is way better than PB Blaster IMHO. Spray all the bolts you will have to loosen and it will make the process much smoother. I put my 4.5in lift on is under 5 hours myself. But I used a 2 post lift and goof around quite a bit.

also depends on what breaks and if all parts are there, i did a skyjacker track bar relocation bracket that took a day to come in, getting the track bar lined up sucks and the rear springs are a pain

On a hoist with air tools and plenty of soaking in PB Blaster for weeks prior, it took about 4.5 hours at a leisurely pace - including the install of the adjustable track bar.
Hardest part was getting the leaf spring mounting bolts loose and prying in the new pass. side coil spring.

Like everyone said just varies on what goes down. Do some pre prep work with penetrating lube and make sure you dont need your vehicle the next day and get started. Anytime i do anything like that i would set asid a full day and then not need the vehicle the next day just incase.
